If you have received your 1st Communion and will be a rising 3rd grader or older, you can become an Altar Server.  For more info contact Kathie Fedyk (770) 962-2354.

 

The Altar Servers are given a divine privilege, above all earthy honors, in being permitted to serve within the sanctuary at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, at which the Church gives to God, the worship that is due Him alone.

 

The requirements of being an Altar Server are that you must have received First Communion and take at least two training classes before you begin. 

 

The duties of an Altar Server are as follows:

1. To assist the priest during the Mass

2. To lead the procession into and out of the Sanctuary

3. Cross server

4. Candle server

5. To assist in preparing the Altar

 

Children serve two to three times a month.
