We are blessed at St.
Marguerite d'Youville to be able to have Perpetual Adoration.
WHAT IS PERPETUAL ADORATION?
Perpetual Adoration is a
Eucharistic devotion whereby members of a given
parish (or other entity) unite in taking hours of
adoration before the Most Blessed Sacrament (in most
cases, exposed), both during the day and throughout
the night, seven days a week. |
|
We invite everyone to come
to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel to pray and meditate within the
silence of His Presence.
Our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II,
said that "our essential commitment in life is to persevere and advance
constantly in Eucharistic life and piety and to grow spiritually in the
climate of the Holy Eucharist."
For those who have never
visited the chapel before, we inform you that the Perpetual Adoration
Chapel is located behind the door to the left of the altar as you walk
towards the altar.
We are so busy in our
everyday lives that some find it very difficult to visit. We
should arrange our time so that we can give to God a special time.
A visit of even a few minutes is better than no visit as not everyone
can commit to an hour each week.
If we bring along our little
ones they will then learn the importance of being with God and having
Him in their lives every minute of every day. Also, ask friends to
join with you in your visit.
Remember one of the first
things you learned in Catechism:
Q: Why did God make us?
A: To know Him and to serve Him in
this world and to be happy with Him in the next.
Lastly, remember to sign in
as you visit. There are so many who visit but we do not see how
many as only a few remember to sign in. God knows you are there,
but we would also like to know!
