 A teen (middle and high school) service organization affiliated with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. 

 

The Young Vincentians meet the 3rd Sunday of the month in the downstairs conference room at 5pm.
 

The Young Vincentians is a new group to St. Marguerite's but its members have already shown us their abilities with their Food Drive which netted numerous bags of food in 2008.

The Young Vincentians were available to assist with the distribution of 2008 Thanksgiving meals to those who offered to deliver more than one to the St. Vincent de Paul clients.  Their help was immensely appreciated!

The Young Vincentians are going to try to earn the Presidential Service Award.  It requires an organization to collectively give 200 (bronze) to 1000 (gold) hours of community service.  Members have to have at least 25 hours each to be added toward the total.  Individual awards are available as well, with the bronze award for young adults set at 100 hours, the silver at 175, and the gold at 250 hours.  (For adults over 25, those amounts are 100 hours for bronze, 250 for silver, and 500 or more for gold.)
